The Allegations: What Jennifer O’Carroll Told the High Court
On October 16, 2025, Ms. O’Carroll’s legal team secured permission from Mr Justice Brian Cregan to serve proceedings on HansaWorld Ireland Ltd, HansaWorld Holding Ltd, and the Swedish parent company, HansaWorld Inc Ltd . Her affidavit detailed a pattern of what she considered serious mismanagement.

1. The “Illict Websites” Claim
Ms. O’Carroll claimed Mr. Bohlin used the company HR function to “screen the girls from various illicit websites for suitability” for him, and that he described finding a girlfriend as his “highest priority” .
2. Hiring the Unsuitable
She stated he insisted on hiring these women even when they were not suitable candidates for roles in the company .
3. Leasing Homes in Dubai and China
He used company funds to lease houses for these individuals, including one in Dubai and another in China, and when the group board objected, he “was determined to veto that because he claimed it was his entitlement as majority shareholder” .
4. The Spending Spree
In September 2025, she alleged Mr. Bohlin spent €100,000 on his company American Express card, including €40,000 at a Bulgari store for the woman he had housed in Dubai. When she confronted him, he responded: “It is my money” .
5. The Functional Alcoholic
Ms. O’Carroll also claimed Mr. Bohlin was having difficulties with alcohol, describing himself as a “functional alcoholic” .
6. Late Wages and Personal Loans
She told the court that due to cash flow issues caused by this spending, employees were receiving their wages on average a week late. She and other senior staff had to provide loans to the company to keep it afloat .
7. The Suspension
When Ms. O’Carroll raised concerns, she claimed Mr. Bohlin suspended her as a director and company secretary and restricted her access to company accounts and correspondence .
